Subject: Third Ref "Denny Terrio Lookalike"

Steratore the 3rd Referee and Denny Terrio Lookalike is a rookie Referee in the MAAC whose only credentials seem to be that he is a Big East FOOTBALL official.
The fact that he was doing a mid season MAAC Game between the two top teams is ridiculous. Even if he was assigned this game at the start of the season he shold have been replaced when the importance of this game should have been obvious to MAAC director of officials Brad Tracey and Commissioner Richard Ensor. Speaking of Rich Ensor, where was he for the Biggest MAAC Game of the season so far ?
I agree that it was a terribly officiated gane which I believe omes from putting a BAD Rookie Ref with experienced officials. One of the reasons that the MAAC plays on thusday nights is that the better Referees are available.
If Stag Fans thought the officiating was bad on thursday they should have seen the Geriatric crew that did the MC St. Peters game last saturday. It was the all Social Security Crew of Bob Madigan, John Letcher and Jack Sweeney. All 3 were the Trail Official all game long because they couldn't keep up.
It is my understanding that all officiating assignments are given out at the beginning of the year and no changes are made later in the season no matter who is playing or the importance of the game.
With that said, thusady night was a great college basketball game and the crowd and atmosphere reminded me of the Jaspers going into Alumni Hall in the 70's.
See you on 2/13.
