Subject: Viggiano/Cox Update

I watched the UMass/URI game last night, the second UMass game I've seen. Jeff Viggiano, a 6'6" freshman who hails from Ct. and whom we recruited last year, starts for UMass and averages in double figures. This guy is a complete player who thinks and reacts like a bball player. He dribbles and passes like a guard despite being a forward. On one sequence he took the ball under the URI basket, dribbled downcourt through the URI defenders and dunked. While Viggiano spends most of his time on the court, UConn transfer and Bridgeport native Marcus Cox spends most of his time on the bench. He played at most ten minutes last night and in the other game which I watched he was used sparingly as well.
