i can. i played with michael in high school. the games between these two were unbeliveable. we played horner 3 times this last year and all were in front of crowds greater than 4000.....the first marshalltown lost in overtime....horner had 43 and i think bell had like 33....in the second meeting our home game horner beat us by one point in front of 5000 people. horner scored 22 and i think bell had around 20 also. the last meeting was the substate final game. so the winner would go to the state tournament. they beat us by 10 i think but the majority of it was off free throws at the end... horner put in 45 and bell had just above thirty...overall they had great battles in high school.....the biggest difference was Horner's ability to absoulutly control the game and have it played the way he wanted to.

Thanks. Makes me think Michael will have a very good 4 years here at Fairfield.

HS bball is so much more popular in the Midwest. My wife and I are both from the Midwest and were surprised at the 200-300 at a HS game we attended earlier in the week (the HS has about 2500 students in a town of 50,000). My rural HS in the 70's had 500 students but the gym was full (400-500) for most of the games. If only Fairfield UNIVERSITY could draw 4-5000 for their games.

Precisely why FU should recruit more in the mid-west. We might not get guys likr Horner but their are a lot more Michael Bells out there who can play & value the kind of educ. they can get @ a school like ours.

The Catholic high schools in this area regularly place high in the state tournament. The talent is there we just need to come get it.
