I agree, however, I'd just as soon win the MAAC tournament & lock up the NCAA bid. That way we don't have to rely on the internal politics of NIT selection.

I think that if they are able to finish first but lose in the tourney, they get an NIT bid, even if they only have 18-19 wins. They would be attractive because they would be a conference regular season champ. Plus the fact that three of their losses would be to top teams (Duke, St Johns, DePaul) would be helpful. A normal MAAC team who wins 18 but plays cream puffs would not have odds quite as good.

That being said, win the darn tourney so we don't even have to discuss this.
