As a kid I loved the Tigers and mostly because of Al Kaline, who came into Detroit out of HS the year I was born (1953) and stayed for over 20 years. Then I loved the Yankees and nearly everyone did in WNY, but then I lost interest in MLB prior to the steroid era and never had any interest since. Not even the NYY move the needle for me anymore.
