Before I write this, I'm acknowledging that NIL plays a SMALL role in this. The MAAC as a whole has shaky NIL, but during the Paulus era most teams have figured it out at least one season and been good.

7 years of Paulus- Only ONE season above .500 in MAAC play. Only ONE season over .500 overall. ZERO seasons finishing in the top 4 of the MAAC. 2 STRAIGHT YEARS OF MISSING THE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT. In what world is this acceptable? Even Canisius has a top 4 finish in this time frame. I'm not asking for the world here, all I'm asking for is having a competitive team that is capable of making a run. A team that we can say is "good" once every 4 years. The bare minimum isnt even close to being met

Somewhere out there is a seasoned older assistant that would kill for a D1 opportunity, or a driven young coach with some new ideas chomping on the bit for a chance.
Pick one and start over!
Paulus has used up his years with nothing to show for it.
Yeah, Niagara Falls is a hellhole, we have no NIL money, the weather sucks and the facilities are mid-high level high school at best, but it’s still a D1 job (for now) and that offers some attraction.
When does the portal open and we find out we are starting over with a brand new team again?

Think Paulus has another year. Believe Jada was in the final year of her 3 year extension. Was given a three year extension after Niagara’s first WNIT bid ever. Followed it up with a second WNIT bid the following year and was one point away from a NCAA bid. Will be surprised if she is extended again but you can’t fault the AD for extending her after her success 3 years ago.
