I think they take into account getting the teams home and the short weekend trips do just that. The kids at NU are fickle. Their attendance is not a tradition as it is at other places ie Bona, or a dedicated basketball program. There is no magnet pulling kids into a basketball game other than it was the first game and first experience for many. The team will have to earn their attendance.
