I don't believe that he is all that concerned with the wins and losses. He committed to his friend Casey and had to give him enough time to perhaps bring some success and I wonder if he ever knew Pat Beilein before Simon became infatuated with him. There were some fairly major issues that developed towards the end of Bill Agronin's tenure and it became necessary to "straighten them out" by hiring a no nonsense coach hired more for her ability to iron out the wrinkles more than bring a bunch of wins to WBB. To me that is why she has remained here so long. I call them other reasons. Fr Maher (speculation) is also for having a woman of color as WBB coach.

Greg Paulus will always have a job in basketball be it as our coach or someones assistant. Personally, I feel he is qualified to lead a team and has the knowledge of the game. I think he finds himself at a terrific disadvantage due to the sketchy history of the program he can sell and of course the financial limitations. I see two D-I players on his team and the rest are II and III. No inside strength, no speed and very average offensive capability.

Just sad to see two teams that can compete to save their lives anymore, BUT how they fare in the MAAC will be the time tested best view.

Having said that the NU athletic department has the least amount of power in it's battery in ages.
