He'd settled down a little, straightened out his lips and cocked his head at her a little, his hair, getting a little on the long side, splaying out behind him on the pillow - it would make a lovely cowlick when he got up. "Then I guess you have no choice but to say yes." This had been building up since they were little kids, he'd always loved her, now it was time for them to do what came next - marriage - it had taken him some time to get things straightened out, but this was what was supposed to happen, he felt it.
