Subject: Can anyone help me??

I found an old picture in my basement. My grandfather got it from a 200 year old church that was condemned in the 50's. The frame is solid wood with what looks like horseshoes with diamonds in the middle. The picture is a carving (not sure if it is ceramic, porcelan or some other stone, maybe plaster?? the picture is set about 1 in back from the glass. Mary is in blue, holding Jesus on her lap with a cross behind her. There are no markings or initials to describe who made it or where it originally came from.
I do have many pictures. Does anyone have an Idea of where and when this picture was made??
