[her look did not fade, only changed mildly. it wasn't quite disbelief, but it was close. she had heard of this, around. yet, it still was hard to grasp. face was buried in her arms, fighting back tears. it was a terrible thought, mind condemning her to guilt. she had the feeling that if this allergy theory was true, she, being partially feline, was to blame]

[she considered adding in 'what can we do' but she thought against it, soft, quiet words muffled by her arms, as her position had changed little. it was times like these she wished she was not alone, knowing that for her best guess, when Darq left the tavern she would be left on her own again. it was how it always had been, and she expected little to change. she began to know people, to trust them, to care for them - and then they leave, leave the catling child out on the streets, alone. just how it always had been... a small part of her hoped it would be different this time, but that was merely a slim possibility. she daren't hope, for fear of being disappointed...]
