These sites are not blasphemous, in fact they are quite true because, I as a Christian and a lesbian, face just the very true spiritual abuse that is stated on the BASH page of the Landover Baptist Church site. This site is not targeting Christianity as a whole but, it is hitting below the belt on those who "claim" to be Christians and how they deal with people by bashing them with the Bible and claiming that ONLY THEY will be the elect in the kingdom of heaven. Such belief is nothing but a pompus, arrogant belief and the last time I read MY Bible it states, "Therefore let us NOT JUDGE ONE ANOTHER anymore, but rather determine this--not to put an obstacle or stumbling block in another's way." Romans 14:13 Do you not realize that human judgement of other humans is a stumbling block? Why do I say this? Because, many are turned away from the flock and from God by judgemental Christans who wound the spirit and esteem of others. Also, James speaks against judging others. "Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother of judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it." James 4:11 "Do not complain, brethern, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the JUDGE is standing right at the door." James 5:9
Dear, fello Christian, I pray that God will enlighten you with the love that He wishes for you to have for others according to JESUS, his greatest command was to "love your neighbor as you would yourself". I truly hope that you don't wish upon yourself the judgement of your brother's and sister's in Christ when you do wrong because that would be rather sadistic. Instead, I hope that you would follow the teachings of 1 Corinthians 13, which calls us to love one another. ONLY through the Christ-like, unconditional love will CHRIST shine through us to lead others to His Kingdom and to the wonderful gift of salvation.
