Well, you see. When i was but a foal my mother was alpha of a herd. she would often leave me with another mare, usually the oldest mare in the herd. she would stay away for many months at a time. Very much alike to your mate. The moment they come, they go. I am sorry you had to hear my story. I usually do not tell anyone about my past. I am again sorry that you had to hear that.

Then as if nothing had happened, he said again.
