"It's all pride.." He agreed with a slow nod and managed to track down some JD's in the cupboard above the fridge, so poured himself some of that and then turned to face Mark again. "Has she been asleep long?" All this chit-chatting was fine and dandy, but he really just wanted to see his girl, to see how she looked for himself, to hear what she had to say. He missed her like crazy, and just wanted to make sure for himself that she was getting better - whether it was a slow process or not, he didn't care.
