Jeez, I don't remember that at all. Did I know it was you? Yes, I always drove crazy while working in that car. I took off at all the lights, but I was never looking for a race, just trying to take the deliveries. It was the only way I could pay for it! You are about the fifth person I didn't know well at the time that has told me since they found out it was me that they wondered who drove that car like such an asshole.

Heh, oh well. Sometimes fun comes at the expense of good judgement.

I've never had a car where I could just drop the clutch and have it take off without slipping. I think it was just the right mix of hp and traction. I'm a subaru fan for life after that car.

The Silver Bullet, however, was a 1986 Mazda GLC Wagon that was held together with three parts Bondo and one part metal. That thing treated me really good, a perfect delivery car. Looked like hell. I think it really did have about 65 horsepower. It was fun to drop the clutch on it and squeal out in that little beater.

Nostalgia. Setting. In. Tears. Forming.
