Well, my little air test on the coins mode with no tweaking was less than impressive. The suggestion is to use the highpro program from others, but I have one slight problem with that...even with the coins or coins and jewelry programs, I had to REDUCE AC sensitivity to get the detector to settle down. Now, I'm going to try some other locations this weekend, and we'll have to see, but I'm really wishing there was a more experienced detectorist around here with a DFX of their own to lend a hand.

I never got anywhere close to being an expert with the old Eagle Spectrum, and perhaps I have problems really finding that "stable" operation and the edge of it. Just need some time, or maybe tutoring. Bob, where in MO are you? I'm in KC myself...I'm assuming we have similar soil conditions, so maybe we can work through this learning process together.
