Subject: Training Aladinn

Hey guys today is the big day when I finally have time to work with Aladinn after all those shows. I grabbed him from the paddock where he was romping with Fatal Kiss and Golden Tide. Those guys are the funniest trio... anyway. I clipped on a lead shank and led him up to the training barn, clipping on crossties. I ducked into the tack room and grabbed a worn hunt saddle, it was in really good shape for it's job, for young horses to get used to the saddle. I let him smell the saddle and then I took the saddle pad and spread it over his back. Next I slid the saddle on his back. He didn't move, I gave him a carrot and congradulated him. Then I let him smell the girth. He eyed it as I attached it to the saddle, then I went around and pulled up the girth to his other side. No response, he seemed to coil up, I stroked his shoulder, he calmed down and I tighened the girth so it would not fall off. Then he went off like fireworks!!!!! Bucking in the hall he stood. I talked to him as I managed to clip a lead rope on his bridle and upclipped the saftey crossties. Aladinn tries to drag me out the barn, no way though I had trained to many horses for him to try this.
I had him come to the jumping ring since Dor Echo and French Kiss were being worked in the indoor arena and the dressage rings Aladinn could easily jump. I let him loose in the arena. He took off, tearing at the jumps. THEY WERE WAY TO HIGH FOR HIM!!!! They were 5'6" at the least since I had been working En Gagea in here a few hours ago. Aladinn I thought was going to crash into the top rail, they were way to high for him... but no he tore at the oxer like a mad devil. One two three strides up and... over!! I couldn't believe it my two year old warmblood is doing jumps as high as my four year old seasoned arabian jumper!!!! Holy crow... when aladinn finally slowed down after jumping eight more jumps. I took him to the hot walker and had him cooled out with Frenchie and Dori.
