I have a 4 year old Morgan mare... quite the handful..
She is like a little beaver, chewing the posts, chewing the boards, chewing the run-in shed.. no she doesn't eat the wood.. she leaves a little pile of shaving underneath her latest work.. The first month I had her, she rubbed half her mane out almost to the skin just by reaching through the fence for grass..
Once I straight tied her ( a chain drilled into a board on teh side of the barn.. yes with a saftey snap) and she was leaning back slightly and pulled the whole board out of the barn, then backed up down the isle with me in hot pursuit, trying not to look threatening but also trying to rid her of the board 'chasing' her..

But, she is wonderfully smart, and ya gotta love her. (beautiful deep bay.. though a tad short, and big eyes.. you just gotta forgive her..) I taught her how to 'bow' in about two sessions.. (well, by bow I mean stick her hoof out and stick her nose between her legs..)
But smart goes both ways.. she learns bad habits just as fast..
