In order to make the game have better RPers, instead of a quantity of people having special positions, only quality people will be able to hold honors, or own territories. That way, you'll be able to trust the Alpha stallion and mare with the decisions they make, which also included mini-fights between territory owners, etc, sort of like many games in one. I wouldn't be too sure of the rules, but I think Lady of the Lake would be best to make them, since I've never owned or ruled an RPG game...
I was just rereading some posts on the board, and I thought, hey! what a great idea to have 'teachers' like Dagda and Merlin/Nimue, and Shadowfax/Shakira, because then that would help divide the horses into loners/healers/warriors, lol, if this is making any sense. I guess it all depends on what kind of game you want - rping game, battling game, fantasy game, or whatever kinds of games there are out there.:P
If I really took the time to think about it, maybe there could be certain 'tests' with which to earn positions in territories, with the Alpha stallion and mare deciding who to appoint. If your territory it basically made up of healers, you may want more healers, or more warriors. I can see it now, Freedom would be more of a healer, so if she had to choose a Delta mare/stallion or something, she'd most likely choose a warrior to help protect the territory. Than, to even earn the rank of healer or warrior, than you'd have to have someone test you...Dagda or someone. Of course, that'd put a lot of pressure, and take time away, from Dagda's player so....but all this is only if you want it to be a combat game, from my point of view.
If you want it more based around RPing, I'd suggest each horse that earns a position in a territory would have to create a profile w/ pic to help others know what type of horse they are going to be and act like. It'll take time, but hey, isn't that what rping's all about? Lol, maybe not, but it does take more than 1 minute to create a characters personality. Or, if you still wanted to take the route of testing to earn positions, you could have rping contests, where only you are the judge. For example, give the horses a situation, and they'd you'd see how they would react to it. If plagerism (dunno how to spell that, lol) got really bad, you or I could create two seperate boards and email each of the player's the URL. You could have seperate Kingdoms, the healers and the warriors, and then to become a King and Queen of each you would have like, a week of testing to earn that position. Lol, now I have suggestions coming out my ears, so I better shut up now...it's like, I'm totally rearranging the game!
