*Peering through his dark forelock a few feet away from the newcomer, he picks up odd signals from her. His sixth sense was not yet fine tuned, but he knew there was something different about her. She was dark and mysterious, a resemblance to Aerial, his first and last love. He smiles to himself at his growing maturity, he was growing out of the silly young mares that stuck around as his companion for the night. The sophistication and the mystery was what now attracted him. And this mare was a mystery. He sensed her confusion, and he sensed she was different, as if from another realm. He would have to confer with the wizard.

He steps forward, to make his prescense known, for he was still a demanding figure, but as not to interrupt the King. Still young and strong, still the build of a warrior. He waits patiently, but his eyes and his soul dance with interest at this creature.*

The dame countered the amusement of the male with a curious twitch of her flutes, her eyes bestowed with a slight smile. However, the laughter vocalized so freely by the male caused her bones to shiver with animosity even as they were swept by the frozen wind of disquiet; minutes later from their initial introductions she was still unused to conversing with the animal. Yet, she must endure.

"And I am Cattivo." A name, she felt, that was hardly rivaled by the absurd name "True Evil". If the male was as foolish as his name suggested, then he would be an easy one to manipulate. For the first time in days cruel laughter played against the stone walls of her mind, echoing against the impenetrable box that contained her untouched heart. For, from what she had seen of this dark, lonesome land already, she knew that it would suit her well. She would be forced to put aside her lust for revenge for a time, but it would be well worth it. And, perhaps this equine cast would be of more use than a predator's would have been. After all, deceit and she had an understanding.

Her musings were not to distract her, though, and seconds later the dame's silent laughter slowed and came to a standstill, perceiving two others nearby. Her exquisite dial turned to view them who had approached, and she was almost delighted by what she observed. The first she responded to with a delicate inclination of the dial, her eyes piercing as they followed the distinct line of the male's powerful physique. Although she read the beginnings of scorn for her in his glance, she readily overlooked that minor drawback. Respect and admiration could be easily won, she knew from experience, if the quarry was worthy of such attention.

The second newcomer to her welcoming no less delighted her. Not because he was strong, young, or a potential victim for her desires, but because her feminine perception was able to read his soul as she had men as human woman. So, it would seem, her gifts were still of use. The dame offered this one a nod of greeting as well, her lingering glance cut short as she restored it to its original locale. Snapping her elegant banner instinctively, her smile extends to include the remainder of her body, muscles easing as she tentatively allows her human consciousness to slip into that of her newly acquired one of a horse. Before it had been a shadow shed over her mind, now she used it to her advantage -- just as she was going to use everything else.

"You have a son, True Evil?"

Yes, everything.
