The scene begins with a camera shot outside Orion's apartment at
about midnight. A man dressed in a blue rain-jacket, khakis, and sneakers knocks
on the door. Orion opens the door...
Orion: Hey Zach, here for the interview we
planned?
Zach Wallace: Yea, may I come in?
Orion: Sure, make yourself at home. Can I get
you something?
Zach: No, actually, I need to start the
interview right away.
Orion: Umm..Ok, go ahead
Orion sits back on the couch with Zach on the recliner...
Zach: First, I'd like to congratulate you on the fine
job you did in your match against Lightning last week.
Orion: Zach, don't bulls**t me, what did you
come for?
Zach: I'm guessing you've heard of Shadow right?
Orion: Ya, I consider him one of the best in
this Fed, what about him?
Zach pulls out a tape and plays it on the VCR...
Zach: Check this out.
Orion watches the tape of Shadows challenge to him, then stops it when it
ends...
Orion: Looks like I got another match.
Zach: Ya, but what about your rematch with Lightning?
Didn't you want to fight him again?
Orion: This seems like a better match. Don't get
me wrong, I'm still going to rematch Lightning, but that match is child's play
compared to the challenge presented here. You see, both Lightning and I are just
starting in this Fed, so the outcome of our match won't really do anything. But
this match against Shadow holds more. If I defeat Shadow, or at least but up one
hell of a fight, I have better shots at titles and all that good stuff. Hell,
even by accepting this match I feel like if I'm getting somewhere.
Zach: Ok. Do you feel intimidated by the
challenge of Shadow?
Orion: No, hell no. Never in my life have I been
scared of a match or its outcome. Why should Shadow be any different? It's just
another match, just on a higher level.
Orion gets up to get a drink while Zach takes some notes. After a few minutes
Orion goes back to the couch.
Zach: So you can say that your going to beat
Shadow this Saturday night?
Orion: I never predict matches. But Shadow is
one hell of a wrestler, I'll give him that.
Zach: As you saw in his video, he called you a
"twit" and a "goody-little-two-shoes". How do you respond to
that?
Orion: Zach, let me get one thing across, I
don't really care what other people call me or think of me. The only people
whose opinion matters is the fans. They've always been there for me, accepting
me with open arms. Their like my family...my family which I lost long ago.
Orion lowers his head as if in mourning...begins speaking in a deeper,
darker tone.
Orion: I remember the helicopters flying over, the news
cameras focused on my home. My parents mutilated bodies were a living nightmare.
I found I could release the hate inside me through wrestling. Then I went to
jail. I spent 10 years in that shithole. The fans were all I had. They are all I
have now. So Shadow, Prepare for the fight of your life...Prepare for Orion...
