She nodds at Ayla in approval.
"Now practice drawing. Keep your shoulders low, and pull from your back muscles, not your arms. The string should be even wiht your nose when drawn back. When you are done that, go ahead and aim. Use the dominant eye, close the other and practice. Everyone is different in this aspect, you choose what suits you best"
She demonstrates, picking up her own bow and aiming, closing her left eye, aiming carefully and letting it fly, hitting the target squarely. She does so again, so as to let Ayla see the release and follow-through more clearly. She stretches the string farther, then relaxes her hand, the arrow shoots forward, and she lowers her bow-arm after it hits the target.
She nodds, signing her to practice, then turns to Gabrella.

She sits down on the bench and watches Ayla practice, but speaks to Gabrella.
"How much do you know about archery?"
