Kan'daar

The deep forests of Ankla give way to thinner foliage, the trees spreading further apart the farther East you travel. The woods themselves, while becoming lighter and less suffocatingly enclosing, seem to get stranger the further you progress. The trees seem to pulse with a strange energy, and the ground, strangely enough, is almost completely devoid of groundcover and flora aside from the trees. Eerie calls echo through the seemingly empty forest, belonging to no typical forest creature. Indeed, those that reside here are anything but typical; half human, half horse, and not friendly. This is the land of the Kan'daar Centaurs, otherwise known as the Horse Clan of Changelings. Perhaps you are welcome, perhaps not. If you don't want to find out, you may return to Ankla Forests. Or, you may continue on into Kan'daar.

The settlement at Kan'daar is decidedly not human, as the doorways are easily eight feet tall, and no furniture for sitting or sleeping is present in the dwellings. Indeed, little more than a loose pile of straw, leaves, and miscellaneous bits of forestry mark the sleeping area, and no accomodations for eating are present. Centaurs eat as a clan, in a central dining hall, visible in the distance. The Hall is easily two hundred horse-lengths long, constructed of massive oak trunks and beams that span the space enclosed by the walls. The Hall doubles as a meeting and dining hall, or a social area for all that wish to enter. Aside from the dwellings and the Hall, an archery range is visible in the distance, as are other buildings, which stand clustered around behind the Hall.
