As a gift for my husbands birthday in August, I purchased an 8 week old mastiff puppy. We all have fallen in love with this new addition to our rather large family (2 daughters, horses, goats, ferrets, cats, and 3 other dogs to name a few). Anyway, there is something really unique about our mastiff. He seems different than our other dogs. It's almost like he doesn't relate to them, he would rather be with the family than outside romping with the other animals. It's hard to explain, but he seems more like a person than a dog. Has anyone out there had the same experience with their mastiff? Please share your stories.
