Breed: Freisian

Appearance: A deep midnight, though not sleek, black, as all Freisians. A long mane cloaks his neck, and a trailing forelock is often in his vision. His dark, glittering eyes can be either coltish, solemn, loving, or stern, and often flash when angered.

Height:16.2

Personality: He's very softspoken usually, with a sense of humor all his own. A bit oafish, he can be a real klutz, as he proves time and time again. Don't let this fool anyone, he's a very passionate horse if something threatens those he cares about. He will also fight for a cause, if said cause finds purpose for him. Responsible at most times, he is quite given to bouts of unexplained depression or sadness. His mood swings not often, but when it does it really swings far. A good friend to those he geniunely trusts, he would do anything for a pal.


History: Born into a herd of captive bred horses set to roam wild for a time, he was given his name by humans. Ridiculed for being the "tall clumsy one", tormenting foals would often band together to pick on him. His mother denounced him soon after his third month of life, and his father was killed by a pack of ranging coyotes right before his eyes soon after that. When the little colt saw this, he ran far and away. Exhausted and alone, he didn't make it for long, when something, presumably a mountain lion, attacked him. He stumbled into Evil Valley, a herd in the Cascade Mountains. Wounded and pushed to his limits, he collapsed without further notice. Adopted by Thunderwave and Nia, his shoulder was healed by Malussinn. (why Mal, I didn't know you cared so much! *grins*) As a foal he befriended many a strange companion, but he was slow to give his little heart to friendship at first. He wandered away when he was a yearling, returning three years later a very changed horse. When he grew up, he decided he wanted a home of his own, and became without further ceremony, the leader of Onyx Pass. *fan fare music plays* ( whoo! A mouthful!)


Special Notes: Wellll....that was the character's story. I know he'll hate me for telling everyone this, but there IS a real Dare Devil folks. He's one of my favorite stuffed animals, and he sleeps on my bed every night. You're never too old for stuffed horsies! I named him Dare Devil because I got him when I went to a fair, and needed courage to go on rides. In short, I needed to be a daredevil, like my little Friesian buddy!
