Fortunately for me, I'm relatively shameless--so I wasn't scarred for life. But pols tend to use the Armed Services as their lab for social experiments--including just how invasive can the hands of statist authority get.

As conservative as I usually sound, it may surprise folks that I've been against the "War-On-Drugs�" for that long. But it isn't a "conservative" "war." It's a statist war. And if they can make adults pee in cups while somebody stares, in search of "Demon Drug," some of them will assume they have the moral authority to make children do likewise--in a search for "Demon Tobacco."

(bear with me--I'm not going longer than I must)

Statist apologists are fond of calling this reasoning "The Slippery-slope fallacy" (when they're not busy proving it's no fallacy at all). This time they proved my point rather efficiently. RKBA! Season's Greetings & regards, all.
