Yes, I find these questions fascinating. I am inclined toward a deflationary approach a la Quine, Putnam or Parsons, although I am not competent to analyze the competing arguments, and I realize that appeal to their sort of modal approach is viewed by some as begging (or just delaying) the relevant metaphysical questions at issue.
