In an earlier related post, someone wrote in regard to Norman Paulsen, "Considering the nature of the Guru-disciple
relationship I would say that he is a disciple."
I have read where both Lahiri Mahasaya and Sri Yukteswar said that there were only four levels of kriya that could be taught by a physical guru to a student, but that there were higher ones that the student must recieve directly from the distant star that appears in the middle of the spiritual eye. Both Lahiri Mahasaya and Sri Yukteswar were said to have given fourth initiation to only a very few, perhaps only two or three. I can say from my own experience with Norman Paulsen, and from conversations with Charya Bernard, that Norman Paulsen received the full Kriya from Yogananda, and went on to receive the higher kriyas directly from the Light and those who dwell in It.
Meet the man yourself before you pass any judgement. He is definitely a teacher in his own right, not only having recieved his authority to teach from Yogananda personally, but from the very highest source as well. If it God realization that you truly seek, don't rule him out before giving yourself a chance to see what is true.
