I wonder if Walter's problem with the court could have been made less difficult if the court had asked,
"Why did you actively engage in sex with these women if you had taken a vow of chastity and your relationship with them was (initially) based on an understanding/aknowledgement of that vow?"
and if...here's the tricky part, Walter had had the courage to say,
"Because I was weak. I had the intention, when I took those vows, of seeing them through completely but somewhere along the way I fell from my resolve and gave in to my lustful urges."
How simple if only he could tell the truth.
Once Walter, in a book, stated that Yogananda told him he would never fall because of ego. Well, he didnt, he fell from lust and the ego trying to cover up his weakness came after that.
