Quite true, though as an admirer of Yoganandaji I tend to prefer the translation of Yoganikitan which seems to put him and his work in a better light. Of course this is just my bias. Since I can't read Bengali I have to think about the motivations: what possible motivation does Yoganikitan have to try paint Paramahansaji in an overly positive light? What possible motivation does Swami Satyeswarananda have to try paint Paramahansaji in a negative light? Any ideas? For me personally I can't shake the feeling that Swami Satyeswarananda has some sort of grudge toward SRF, Paramahansa Yogananda or both. I think one always has to use discrimination while reading any translation because some of the translators perspective can't help but creep in - at least to some small degree.
