In reply to: anonymous 's message, "Re: Kriya at Ananda" on 08:06

"Thanks to Ananda for perserving these things for posteriry and making them available to those who are interested."

But the question still remains: is what they are preserving Paramahansaji's teachings or someone elses? Kriyananda wrote somewhere that he was able to do kechari on his first attempt. When he latter asked Yoganandaji if he should do kechari with kriya. Yoganandaji's reply was basically "not now...in the future." This is from Kriyananda's own account - as far as I can remember it. From this it sounds to me that Kriyananda did not receive instruction from Yoganandaji regarding the practice of kechari or the exercises one should perform to achieve it. It appears that Kriyananda didn't even receive explicit permission from Yoganandaji to practice kechari himself - if he did then surely he would have included that along with the account I mentioned above.

Also, that a person from Ananda has claimed on the Walrus website that nabhi kriya is taught at Ananda and that apparently nabhi kriya was not taught in Swami Sri Yukteswarji's line indicates to me at least the possibility that Kriyananda may have picked up some of this stuff from one of the other kriya lines during his visits to India. This is what I am concerned about and makes me somewhat sceptical and reluctant about Ananda's kechari material in spite of my interest in the technique itself. Can anybody confirm whether or not nabhi kriya is taught at Ananda and if so where Kriyanada learned this from. If this is taught at Ananda then it would be suprising if Kriyananda learned it from Yoganandaji since I have never heard of any of the other disciples (within or outside of SRF) teaching nabhi kriya.
