Paulsen's statements regarding the birth of the Christ Child do not really convince me that he was speaking either of an actual physical birth or some sort of mystical event.
Both of those possibilities would be a matter difficult to assess, the former can neither be taken seriously nor has it ever been proven and there is no indication for it outside of Paulsen's imagination, while the latter can't be proven at all.
Paulsen seems to be himself irresolute about the nature of his experience of the birth of the Christ Child. He does not really know if it is a physical event, a mystical reality, or a mere product of his imagination. It is his cloudy perception and gullibility that renders his accounts a piece of trash. He believes in everything he encounters. He does not understand the nature of his experiences, but yet strongly believes he may have discovered hidden secrets of the universe. Throughout his books he does this many times. Common to these experiences seems to be their subjective nature and the absence of any impact on anyone or anything except on Paulsen's own belief system, and of course, those people who believe in Paulsen.
Ketch, did you also find a Santa Claus narrative in the Sunburst book? I would love to hear it.
