"Show us some credible scientific research which supports this view." Let's turn this around. You show us some credible scientific evidence that refutes what the records of climate and geologists are saying about the ice age ending suddenly in the southern hemisphere and then about 500 years later in the northern hemisphere.
Ok Joe. Here is just a very small selection of sites which detail the current scientific evidence and theories about the ending of the last Ice Age.
As we can see, the world is thought to have warmed over a period of several thousand years. The glaciers retreated over this period, and sea levels slowly rose.
Now, show us some credible evidence to support your claim that the Ice Age ended overnight, first in the Southern Hemisphere, then in the Northern Hemisphere. So far you have produced none.
I have one further point to add concerning your repeated assertions about the ending of the last Ice Age. IT IS COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT TO THE ISSUE OF ATLANTIS. If there were a continent sized area of shallow sea in the middle of the Atlantic then perhaps the ending of the Ice Age, and the rising sea levels would be relevant. However no such flooded continent exists. Once again I invite you to show us some geological evidence of the former existence of this continent.
They did occur and the evidence is quite clear: Mass extinctions of wildlife and people. Scientists have been studying their remains for years now. Where do you get your "opinions" from?
There were certainly some extinctions as the Ice Age slowly ended, and some species were unable to adapt to climatic change, however there is no evidence of the sudden mass extiction that such a huge impact might be expected to cause. You keep stating that there is evidence, but when challenged you are unable to show us any evidence. If as you claim, "They did occur and the evidence is quite clear:" then you should be able to show us evidence of these major impacts which destroyed two entire continents. Evidence should be so overwhelming that no-one could deny it.
