Well, Google shows that he has a web site at http://www.dennisweaver.com/. I'd guess he's probably semi-retired by now.
Way back in the 1970's, he gave Sunday service at Lake Shrine approx. one Sunday per month (2 or 3 services in succession in one day). They were really excellent! It's easy to think the monks can talk about SRF's high ideals because they have an especially supportive ashram environment, and it somehow "feels so good" to hear it from a lay person such as him, who lives in the "real world" with children & jobs, like us. He also was visible in annual Convocations.
I was inspired by something he said to us one time. The idea, which he put across much more articulately than I can, was: When we do actions as we should according to our high ideals, then even if the immediate result of our action seems insignificant, it metaphysically helps bring new higher better thought patterns into manifestation in this world. His feeding of the homeless people could really only reach a small percentage of the vast numbers in L.A. Nevertheless, the action beneficially helps awaken similar thought trends in the wider population. Metaphysically helps uplift the world. Cool!
