What you fail to mention is the fact that Yogananda carried out the marriage ceremony for Chowdhury (Nerode) and his bride. He also came from a culture where interracial marriage was not uncommon. The quote "He [Chowdhury] married a white woman, which is directly forbidden in our laws." may be a reference to the laws of California at the time, although I have not been able to verify this.

Calling someone a "dirty chiseler" is hardly unacceptable language. What exactly are you trying to imply with this post?

Why do you believe that anything in your post should lower someone's opinion of Yogananda? Could you please explain what your point is, and what your position is. Are you a Christian fundamentalist or similar?
