There is nothing psychic or supernatural in a yogi being able to forsee his own death. It is a perfectly natural consequence of yoga practice. The reason is simply that the advanced yogi is aware of the currents of prana flowing in the body (others may consider this as psychic, but to the yogi it is natural) and so can easily tell if they are starting to flow in the wrong way, therefore indication approaching sickness or death. It would be very surprising to me if Yogananda was not aware of what was to come.
