"Yes, and underneath that it says "No discussion of the sacred and secret techniques of Kriya Yoga." It couldn't be much clearer."
Yes, and right above it you say "ALL WHO WISH TO DISCUSS MATTERS RELEVANT TO THE SACRED SCIENCE OF KRIYA YOGA ARE WELCOME HERE." Read further below, I wasn't planning to give away any Kriya secrets. But I think what I was discussing is "relevant" to this board, no?
You say: "All of us pledged to keep these things secret. There are few things more offensive to most kriyabans than unauthorised people giving away these secrets openly. I believe that most people on this board do not want these things discussed openly. It is hard as a board moderator to decide where to draw the line, so the rule is simply that these techniques are not discussed here."
Ketchji, with all due respect, sometimes it must be hard going through life looking at everything in such an anally retentive way. What I wrote in no way approximated "giving away Kriya Yoga secrets openly". I have received the Kriya lessons just as you have, and you know that to give that away would take entire webpages, not the measly little lines that I wrote.
"If you want to check this you could look at the works of Swami Satyeswarananda, in particular his "Kriya - Finding the True Path", in which he devotes a chapter to the supposed modifications made by Yogananda. He does not suggest that the method of breathing was one of Yogananda's changes, which he surely would have if he had not learned in the same manner."
I've read that book and I think you'll find in it he discusses the change from nose breathing to mouth breathing. I think it's toward the end, but it's been a long time.
I appreciate the work you put into this board Ketchji and enjoy reading here, and I assure you I've never had any intention of giving away any Kriya secrets. I'm not one of those disgruntled people who put up websites with all the teachings. Perhaps that's why I find it offensive that posting a little snippet about Hamsa, something that's openly talked about everywhere and is not a secret technique, get's me accused of giving away Kriya secrets. I think's that's a huge overreaction.
