I checked in Satyeswarananda's book and there is no mention of any change in the way the breath is taken. It is not true that Yoigananda made changes in this aspect of kriya. Some do teach breathing through the nose, but both methods are valid.
Where did you read that all Lahiri Mahasaya's authorised disciples taught breathing through the nose, and what was the authority of the author?
If you were to re-read what I wrote you would see that I was careful not to accuse anyone of anything. I merely pointed out that discussion of kriya techniques is not permitted here. Perhaps it is not just me that displays a huge overreaction.
