~*~*you had been walking for a while, and had not encountered a basilisk. you had passed many elves who were clad as paladins, but they had all simply smiled at you and gone about their way. one of them had very obviously been flirting with Falcon, but dropped it when one of the others had threatened him. it was when you were finally nearing the door that something got your attention. you were walking through what looked like a small series of holding chambers- not a prison, but not intended for the people inside to be able to get out. there were dull windows looking into each chamber, most of which were occupied. one got your attention and held it. there were perhaps nine people in there- all of them fiercely familiar. you looked them over one at a time, halting your steps.*~*~
~*~*all of them were anthromorphic. the first one was a hawk, distinguishable only by her wings. the rest of her body was human. she was quite tall with very long brown hair, braided beautifully with red and black ribbons hanging from the knot at the base of her head. her eyes were a very vibrant red as well. her skin was a lovely soft brown, which went quite well with the clothes she wore. they consisted of a long sleeved crimson shirt that had black flames climbing the sleeves. the bottom of the shirt was quite odd, as the sides continued downward like a dress that had been entirely cut away in the front and back. the long portions reached her ankles, and also had black flamed slimbing them. she wore very light weight pants beneath, that were quite loose and breezy. they were solid black, as were the boots she wore under them. she also had a black pair of gloves covering her hands. a charm about the size of a silver dollar was embedded on the front of the collar of her shirt- a simple black hoop with a bright red flame in the center.*~*~
~*~*the next person was a girl as well, and a feline anthromorph. she was well mixed as far as features went- she had a human face with feline ears at the top of her head, human hands, feline paws for feet, and a long tail behind her. her skin was actually a very fine white fur with very light gray stripes running through it. her hair was jet black, and fell without restraint to the small of her back. her eyes were a magnificent blue. she wore a crown of blue flowers that was held in place by small sapphire clips on either side, and was dressed just as oddly as the others. her shirt was held to her shoulders by two loops of fabric over each shoulder- one over the top and one over the side. the shirt its self was very low cut with no sleeves, and was very tight fitting until it became very light and breezy at her waist. the front cut off at her waist, but the back was hanging down near her hips. at each elbow, a 'sleeve' was held in place by blue ribbons. the sleeves were very loose and looked too big, and were held to her wrist by more ribbons. with her arms straight down, the outsides of the sleeves extended over the backs of her hands and were hanging at her knees. her pants were in somewhat the same manor as the rest of the outfit- they were helf up by a band around her waist and the fabric covered her privates, though an empty area left her hips exposed. they were tight fitting until her knees, where they too became loose and breeze. She wore no boots or shoes because of her feet, though she did have small blue flower bands around her ankles. the entire outfit was light blue, and faded to white near the bottom of the loose fitting parts. she wore a charm as well, consisting of a white circle with a water drop in the center.*~*~
~*~*the next girl was a canine anthromorph. she was more canine than human- her head entirely that of a dog. her hands were human, but her feet were paws. her fur was gray, as was her hair, which reached midway down her back in very smooth waves. her eyes, you noted, were a very vibrant green. she was dressed in a long sleeved tunic, the entire article being very loose. beneath it she wore a pair of loose pants, and there was little else noteable about her outfit. it would have been normal, had there not been beads and feathers hanging off of it. it didn't look bad, it was quite beautiful. all of the beads and feathers were neutral colors, matching the deep greens of her tunic and pants. She had a charm as well- a black circle with a green leaf in the center. she looked to be the oldest person in the room.*~*~
~*~*the next girl was probably the youngest, and was a phoenix anthromorph. she, like the hawk girl, was mostly human. she had long wings of purple, orange, red, blue, and various other colors. her hair was a beautiful blonde and reached her waist, with several bright feathers woven into small braids that appeared here and there. her dress was easily the most colorful, matching her eyes that glittered in shades of purple, red, and blue. the dress was very beautiful, being a one piece that covered her whole body. it had long baggy sleeves, but was tight fitting around her torso. at her hips, it got a bit looser- but broke off into layers. the first layer that went with the upper part of the dress was a bright reddish pink that cut off at her hips. next was a blue layer that cut off not far beneath that one, followed by a purple layer that cut off at her knees, and then a yellow layer, then a white layer, and then a red layer. there were black boots beneath it. her charm was a white hoop with a flower in the center, in the same colors as her dress.*~*~
~*~*the next girl in the line was another feline anthromorph, though with human feet. she had skin rather than fur as well, but still had the ears and tail. her hair was cur off at her shoulder blades in a beautiful platinum blonde that matched her ears and tail, and oddly enough, her bright yellow eyes. her clothes were all tight fitting- a short whose sleeves cut off just above her elbows, and then black gloves that came to her wrists. the shirt was a very bright golden yellow, and the fottom cut off just above her belly button. her pants started right at her waist, leaving her stomach partly exposed. they were yellow as well, with many strips of thin fabric hanging from the knees to make little 'skirts' for the bottoms of her legs. she was wearing black boots beneath the pants. her charm was a black circle with a lightning bolt in the center.*~*~
~*~*the next girl was a kitsune anthromorph. her hair was silver, dropping to her waist. her bangs had been pulled into braids and then used to form a coronet around her head, then were added into a very thin braid that fell down the center of the rest of her hair. her skin was very pale, and her eyes were an odd blue-green. her outfit was a very beautiful blueish-green as well, consisting of a a very tight shirt with very loose sleeves that covered her hands entirely and dropped to about her knees. the shirts bottom was loose as well, and was hanging very much like a mini skirt, over top a pair ov very loose fitting pants that looked to be a few sizes too large. despite how large they looked, they stopped just below her ankles where she was wearing black boots. her six silvery tails were flowing gently behind her in an invisible breeze. her charm was a blue circle with a green spiral in it.*~*~
~*~*the rest were all men. the first was a very handsome feline anthromorph, feline only because of ears and tail. he had sandy brown hair that reached his shoulders, and stood proudly in armor. it was mostly light armor- bright silver plates covering his limbs in seperate chunks rather than in a suit or armor. it actually looked quite good on him, matching his blueish silver eyes. beneath the armor he was wearing a very basic long sleeved black tunic and black breeches and boots, and in his hand he held a very elaborate silver spear. the actual blade on that spear reminded you very much of a maple leaf, the way it was shaped.*~*~
~*~*the next man was quite a bit older, a mouse anthromorph. his hair was sandy gray as were his ears, and you noted that he had no tail or any other mouse-like features. his eyes were a proud brown. he was dressed in very heavy brown, gray, and black robes- and carried a very basic wooden staff.*~*~
~*~*the last inhabitant of the room was easily the largest- a draconian anthromorph. you could tell because of his wings and eyes (which were slited). his head was that of a dragon, one with a very narrow nose and two horns over the back of his head. his eyes were a mixture of blues, silvers and oranges, which matched his hair which changed between those colors in an even gradient until it reached the end of the pony tail at his shoulders. he was clad in heavy shoulder and chest armor, as well as plates over his hips. beneath that, he was wearing a black outfit. he was in the process of trying to knock the door down when you stopped to look at the group.*~*~
~*~*from what you could tell, the women were all supposed to represent something. the men- the mouse was probably their leader, and the other two were probably guards for the whole lot. the feline with the spear threw himself up against the thick glass window and began beating on it frantically when he noticed that you were watching, and as soon as he was sure that you were watching, he began pointing to the latch on your side of the door. all of them turned to you with pleading eyes, and then joined him at the window. you were not sure if you could trust them, but they did not look dangerous...*~*~
~*~*you looked at Sandreanne and then at the latch, and then back at Sandreanne. she nodded slightly, telling you that it was OK if you wanted to open it.*~*~
