Loki came back to the surface a short time later, no longer wearing the robes that he had been in- but rather in a black uniform very much like his fathers. cape and all. he stumbled forward, where Araeian caught him- and there was a rather bright and brief flash of light. your eyes were not hurt by it, but when it cleared, both of them were knealing in a place where Lord Izu's arms were all petrified. you watched slowly as more of the arms began to turn to stone, until there was a rather large circle around them. it stopped there, though you could feel the 'living' vines shifting around beneath you. and then, you heard Izu's voice in your head.*~+~
Izu- ::it is not right to me that i should loose an Avatar that i chose... it is never wise for any being that can take an Avatar to give one up. i can not defend the last gate to the Zero World without one. however- since this one seems to be so important to you.... i will find another.... now, all of you- be gone from my chamber.::

~+~*when you awoke, you were laying in an oddly familiar place. your little shelter in Deneva's Swamp. you could see the cave behind you, and the way to Karen's town up ahead. there were two hazy pairs of eyes floating around here- wraiths, of Selwyn and Relona. you were not sure why they had ended up here. you heard one of them trying to talk to you, but it was very unclear. it came out as 'Y... N.e.. .. .o. b... b...r.. y... .i.....' or something very close to that. they lingered here, but you did not get a feeling of darkness from them. they would not hurt you. you sat up, and looked around at the group. all of the maidens and their guards seemed to have made it through intact. to your dismay, however, the two Desert Guardians had been pulled through as well. Loki and Araeian were already awake and walking around a bit. it looked rather odd to see a sphinx and a vampire together, but you disregarded the thought. there was a small crystal laying on the ground here, which you picked up. a message from Sandreanne. you heard the voice radiate out from it when you touched it.*~+~
Sandreanne- ...hello? Vincent? Falcon? Cye? are you there? well, if you are hearing this- congrats, you are alive! i am sorry again that i could not be there to help you out. i was needed in other rooms. this is Deneva's Swamp. you probably already know that. the door is not far from where you landed- head south into the swamp until you hit a magical barrier. the door is on the other side. to break the barrier, you would normally need a few of the talismans that the gods drop here and there. however, since you came through the temple, you can get through by dropping blood on the lock. one drop from everybody present will make it work. after you get through, there is a Resting Room- and then you will get to Haen. the door there? just walk through the castle doors. there will be another crystal waiting for you upon your arrival in Amroth. farewell!
