Mike: I must admit the Walbro site needs to redo the drawings. I had an old carb. in shop so thought I would see what happened if I removed the check valve (believe the correct name for it according to parts diagram is nozzle check valve. I had to pick out by inserting a curved metal pick tool into hole in valve then pried up but destroyed the housing of the check valve when I did so. It has a rubber disc inside the brass housing, which you probably destroyed with the dental pick. Although the disc could have been destroyed by old fuel that sometimes has a very caustic effect. If you had a goo type substance on the pick after trying to remove the disc the disc was probably already bad. According to the Walbro parts list you can buy the check valve PN 86-578-1 (Be sure and check you dwg. for same PN)$2.01 + Shipping or you may find one at local small engine dealer and save postage. If you cannot find part let me know and may have used carb. housing with the disc intact. If I do would let you have it for $10.00 which includes S & H will take check, money order or cashiers check, sorry no credit cards or PayPal...Roe
