Ed: Do not know if you had problem to begin with. Check for Dirt Dobber nest in muffler port. If you find none check mounting gasket bolts for tightness.
You may have to disassemble carb. again and make sure you have all gaskets in proper sequence. (You can find sequence on some of the carb. mfg. websites where they show parts breakdown) If that is OK. You may have scored cylinder on exhaust side of engine. You can check this by removing muffler and looking at rings and piston to see if there are deep grooves in it..Hope this helps...Roe
