julia: i think both extremes equally sucky leh. even under a cold water shower (not in singapore, over here and in winter) i shiver and almost died-ed already. but i think in water more jiatlat cos still need to swim/tread water to stay afloat. desert just lie down and bake. or hide behind cactus. but i don't think desert is that bad leh. in icy cold water you can get hypothermia within minutes. so i think the opposite-equivalent would be walking into a >70 degree celcius sauna. in this case i choose icy cold water. less messy and violent ending.

let's go let's go let's go eat seafood ok! i am more gian for the restaurant type.
