Subject: So, Why Not Just Ask Granpa?
In reply to: Nicole Horejsi 's message, "Re: have you heard of him?" on Tue, May 15 2007, 6:42:09

Howdy Nicole;

So, why not just ask SGT Raymond Edward Horejsi? If he's still alive and if you have an address for him, what's the matter with his granddaughter asking, "what did you do in the Vietnam War, Grandpa?" Be specific though. Ask him what unit he was in and when he served in it (from that, it can be determined where he was stationed and possibly get you in touch with buddies who knew him.) How did you know that he was injured? If he was wounded from hostile causes, then he will have the Purple Heart, but if he was injured due to accident, then he won't. Your easiest way to go is to simply ask your grandfather. Most Vietnam vets don't volunteer personal information until asked.
