It was sort of amusing reading your story. I have never read a war story quite like this. The ones in the book, “The Things They Carried,” O’Brien mostly talks about violence. The things they went through and how they dealt with pain. He expresses how messed up war is but how it’s also beautiful at the same time. Reading it is sometimes hard because the violence is hard to belive or digests. I liked your story for some reason. I can’t put my finger on it. Thanks for your willingness to share your memories with my generation. I hope that we never forget the past because I think that it is full of precious memories.
