Dear Johnnie Hubbs,
Well I read your story “Smiling Faces” and it seemed really nice and interesting. It really moved me I couldn’t imagine what you went through while you were at war. If I were in war I would want to take some time off. It seemed that you felt uncertain when the Sergeant asked you those questions. I wouldn’t know what to say either but it was nice how you saw him there since you haven’t seen him since boot camp. What was going through your mind when he asked you “How do you like Vietnam?” In your position I would have told him the truth like how the war took away many lives and that you couldn’t believe what you were doing there. I could see how he helped you in life and in war.
