Howdy Richard;

Alright, in that case, you need to get in touch with a Service Repesentative of a veterans organization (like the American Legion, VFW, VVA, or DAV) now. When you submit written communications to any government agency, you should keep a photocopy of anything that you send. How come you don't have a copy of your DD-214? Your DA-20 may have been burned up, but the VA doesn't require that as proof of service.

How come you can't cough up which unit down to the company level that you were in and when you served in it? I might be able to help with that information, but without it, I'm doomed.
