Howdy Len;

Your friend is correct; you need to get in touch with old buddies now before it's too late. 20% of my battalion is already deceased. I take it that we can go on your unit as being C Co., 227th AHB, 1st Cav. Div. In that case, there are two websites dedicated to that unit at:

http://home.earthlink.net/~wildmanrvn398/

and

http://www.urnserenity.com/

They will welcome you with open arms if for no other reason than esprit de corps. I still can't find Nui Dat even though I checked out the maps at http://www.nexus.net/~911gfx/mapnc4807.html and at http://www.nexus.net/~911gfx/nc4808.html which include all of Phuoc Tuy Province, but I can't find the place. It must have been about 60 Km. southeast of Saigon near the coast which makes sense since the 1st Cav. Div. was shifted south to III Corps late in the war. In any case, good luck with finding some of your other buddies!
