Your story of U.S.S.New Jersey got me to thinking about her.
I was in Phan Thiet in 68-69 at L.Z.Betty.
I was on guard duty on a bunker along the beach.
All we see of her is a small outline out at sea.
So we got on our PRC-25 and asked who she was.
She answered the New Jersey out on the South China Beach.
I asked what was the range of her guns.
She answered what is your location.
We gave her our location,she said how she could a round in the middle of our compound.
