I was in Qui Nhon from November 1966 to November 22, 1967. I was with the 300th Trans from Ft. Eustis Va. They were arrived in the country in October 1966, as about 30 of us stayed behind to clean up the barracks then fly over to meet up with them. Our company was stationed on the beach and I recall the Roc Tigers was just down from us to the right little ways. The mountains behind us. The 300th was transferred to Saigon sometime in early 1967. Not all went the rest of us was transferred to the 629th Supply Depot. I was there until I left on November 22, 1967. I had brought home from a Viet Nam Vet. Not knowing this until after we had talked for a while we found out that we were there at the same time and he worked in the motor pool. His name is Ted Zolman. He now lives about from me. We live in Winona Lake, Indiana.
